Friday I was out sick again, so was Jimbo, but he was working from home. I lay out on the couch with the chickens and did basically nothing but blow my nose. Later that night my sis (Tot) came over (she's the only one I could ask over because she's already HAD this cold) and we played Sequence and ate chinese because points don't count when you're sick. We played A LOT of games of sequence.
Tot: it's like CRACK.
I just might call her up to come over and play some more.
Saturday I think I coughed all day. I know we did some shopping because Jimbo built his wood rack. It's a nice rack! I put up new curtains in the kitchen.
Sunday we were up at the crack of dawn shopping. Then we napped and I cooked for four hours.
Didn't sleep all that great last night, Jimbo was up a few times.
Today? I went back to work. I should have stayed in bed. I'm still not 100% over this cold (I'm running about 75%) and catchup from two missed days of work really hurt my head.
Last night... I went to Krista's house for a "toy" party. Everything that happens at a toy party stays at the toy party ;)
This weekend... I'm gonna go home after work and collapse. It's a full weekend. Saturday an early walk and breakfast with Kristen, then i'm meeting up with Janet and we're going to wander. Sunday Jimbo and I are going hiking with his bro & wife, Monday I'm having lunch with Lauren.
Yar, it's been a while. I'm not much of a personal blogger lately. All of my blogging time has been spent at A Girl Must Shop and I'm lovin' it! I can't get enough.
Had a glorious weekend full of all things autumn and gorgeous. Wandering with Janet, hiking with Jimbo & his bro & wife, The Departed (I hadn't even heard of it before our friends suggested seeing it - it was fabulous!), then a visit from Lauren, some gardening (I planted a rose bush) and some geekery-time.
Back to work has been busy, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Still doing Weight Watchers. Gained some weight back over the summer, but I'm getting back on track. We (mom [who's been doing great and is nearly at 50lbs lost!] and I) are going to try to do 10lbs in 10 weeks. Wish me luck! Now that we're settled in the house, I've been cooking more and I find it easier to stick to plan if I'm planning meals and cooking healthily.

Dear Fall... your in peak around here right about now and I'm loving it. The leaves on the ride home yesterday were positively gorgeous. Thanks for the gorgeous weather and pretty leaves. I'll be sorry to see them go.

It's the weekend! Woohooo! I'm gonna... Play poker tonight, check out the Harry Potter thingy with Janet tomorrow and relaaaaaaax on Sunday. Maybe I'll do some Christimas shopping, too!
Sandra did it, and I really thought about it. Then Zoot did it and I had to jump on the bandwagon. I almost gave up this morning. I made the mistake of trying to take my picture before I was made up and awake. But then I got to work and there was candy on my desk and a compliment in my inbox and I was in a much better mood. I got my makeup on and took this one. I like Day One.
The weekend was lovely.
Friday night traffic always sucks even if I leave on time. I was in a crap mood anyway, so the traffic was the tip of the iceberg and I reasoned that a trip to TJMaxx was in order. Never underestimate the healing powers of shopping. I picked up a bag I've been eyeing ($7.99!), a backpack that resembles the hated Vera Bradley line (I don't know what's wrong with me!), and a bunch of other things. Of course, by the time I was done there, I only had a half hour until I had to me at mom's house for poker night, so instead of heading home I stopped at that W-store-place and picked up some comfy sweats to wear since I was wearing a suit. Poker night was great, I won the first game and came in 3rd on the 3rd game!
I was up early Saturday morning. Well, actually, I overslept and Kristin's phone call woke me up. She and Sarah picked me up and we headed to Great Brook for a Hike. After that I met up with Janet and we did a corn maze in Rhode Island.
Then Jimbo and I went out for a turkey dinner and went to bed early.
Sunday was very laid back. We went for a long walk around the neighborhood and stopped at a local diner for lunch. Then food shopping and relaxing on the could in front of the fire.
If something I'm eating drops on the floor I... pick it up and eat it, unless it's liquid. Five second rule, my friend
My favorite breakfast cereal is... cocoa pebbles. It's a good source of fiber!

This weekend I shall... work on Janet's site (she has me in shackles, don'tcha know!), maybe go to a craft fair, head to Boston for the pumpkin thingy, and on Sunday I shall stay home and clean and hopefully put up some pictures. Jimbo - where are the nails?
It's the end of the weekend. The dreaded Sunday night. I'm still sick. If I'm still feeling this crappy tomorrow I'm going to see the Dr. A person shouldn't spend this much time being a sick-o.
Friday I did nothing. I watched The Office and went to bed early. Saturday Jimbo and I went to the Pumpkin Festival in Boston with my sister Tot and my cousins Tonya and Kerry. The festival was nuts so we hit Vox for tinis and nummies and then over to finale for dessert! Tasty!
Today I slept in then dragged Jimbo out shopping for area rugs and some storage stuff. I made him buy me a cheeseburger and let me sip his strawberry shake.
We.... went for a walk in the neighborhood, checking out all the Halloween decorations and critiquing all the neighbors houses.
I made american chop suey, had ice cream, took a shower and now I have a headache.

The scariest movie I've ever seen is... (jimbo asked me this question last night) I can't remember - I don't want scary movies anymore...it was probably an Elm Street or Friday the 13th movie back in the day.

I'm such a slacker - I really need to get to work, but I just had to finally post an entry. The weekend was fabulous! Deb & Laura came to visit and we had the best time EVER! Saturday night, I met them at their hotel room where they were harrassing Lauren (making her say words that bring out her thick accent ;) and drinking Rosa Regale. Janet showed up next followed by Julie and MB. We laughed and drank then headed over to Cobbies where we laughed and drank some more and made all too much noise in the fancy dining room. I feel for the other poor diners.
After cobbies was a night full of debauchery which I has been sworn to secrecy. I can say that it was a ton of fun!
Sunday Jimbo and I met up with Jan, Deb & Laura for breakyfast and then they stole me away to Salem where we had even more laughs and drinking. I was so sad to see them go. They are some really great chicks. We're trying to get them to move to Boston!
