The List
Having a hard time falling asleep last night I mentally put together a list of things that made me happy yesterday:
- seeing my favorite coworker
- eating leftover pad thai for lunch
- going to the gym even though I didn't want to
- Jimbo's pizza
- warm cookies
- cudding up with the kitties and my DVR
- hugging my Jimbo
- fixing a bug on Leigh's blog
- listening to "a year of pleasures" in the car

It's good to appreciate the small stuff every once in a while.
In my journal every week, I list five things that I am grateful for. There are weeks when it's not easy, but that's when you turn to simple things like hugs and good leftovers.

I love Elizabeth Berg. Is the book good? Audible doesn't have it and the selection at the libraries here SUCK so I'm going to have to buy the paper version and read it. I so love listening to books in my car. :)

When I have trouble sleeping, which is pretty much every night. I have to get up and make lists like a crazy person, then I can mentally relax...a little. What's Jimbo's pizza recipe?

yeah i am always GLAD i went to the gym, even though i HATE it...speaking of which i havent been in longer than i care to mention, ugh! go you! send me some "get up and go"!
